Location Details:

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days)and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you'll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

As a Principal Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our shared services infrastructure, ensuring it seamlessly supports the needs of our diverse teams.

What you'll get to do

• Architect and implement innovative solutions: Design, code, and debug complex software systems, constantly improving their performance and functionality
• Become a technical sherpa: Share your expertise by training and guiding other engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment
• Stay ahead of the curve: Advocate for new technologies that boost productivity and efficiency, keeping our tech stack modern and effective
• Lead the way: Oversee technical aspects of projects, ensuring smooth execution and delivery of functionalities
• Problem-solve like a pro: Investigate and resolve software-related issues, optimizing performance and delivering exceptional user experiences
• Be a team player: Actively participate in discussions, brainstorm ideas, and propose solutions, shaping the direction of our shared services

Your experience should include

• 7+ years of software engineering experience and a proven track record of success
• 5+ years of professional experience with EcmaScript, Python, and Java, and have experience with software development methodologies
• 2+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node, Testing, CICD, Git, and Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience building complex web systems, working on large projects with consistent delivery
• Experience translating technical concepts into clear and concise terms
