Description
UKG is looking to hire a Principal Software Engineer for one of our teams within the Platform Documents, Forms and E-Signatures domain. You will work with your team and other stakeholders to develop quality software aligned with product and company objectives; and take part in building one of our next generation platform products.
• Building the technical foundations of the product• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying product features• Performing peer code reviews• Monitoring product health and alerts• Helping your team develop a robust, resilient, secure, quality product and maintain technical debt to a minimum level• Fostering a culture of delivering quality software in a timely manner and continuously improving the development process• Participating in both strategic and operational planning• Mentoring peers and helping them grow their technical skills
Qualifications• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering• An interest in both back-end and front-end development, testing, and CI/CD• 6+ years of experience using Java or Kotlin• 2+ years of experience using JavaScript and a good knowledge of Angular• Experience building event-driven microservices with Kafka• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, MongoDB is a plus• Experience being a technical leader in a development team• Experience using Docker and Kubernetes is a plus• Experience implementing CQRS and event-sourcing is a plus
