If this sounds like you… let’s talk. Autodesk is seeking a Principal Software Engineer - Mobile at Bengaluru to join the Digital Employee Experience (DEX) team within the Enterprise Systems and Experience organization. This software engineering team delivers employee experience platforms and products that enrich and improve the overall Autodesk employee experience. Responsibilities 

The team is seeking a Principal Software Engineer - Mobile to work with existing full-stack development teams in their journey towards becoming a world-class, transformational engineering team. In this role, you will: 

• Lead & guide an autonomous team that will manage a full life cycle for a Mobile App across the Android & iOS platforms in an agile-based development

• Hands-on responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering high-value applications with strong emphasis on cloud-based and AI-powered solutions

• Writing a high-quality code, participating in the product walk-through, code reviews, play a crucial role in architecting solutions that require a deep understanding of both current and emerging technologies

• Lead the Proof of Concepts (POCs) to identify the right libraries and technologies to be used by the mobile app team

• Creating and enforcing engineering standards and practices, ensuring that team adheres to the processes

• Promoting a culture of metrics-based analysis and decision-making within the team

• Collaborate and coordinate across teams to ensure reliable, scalable, secure, and highly available software solutions

• Working closely with stakeholders and product teams, requiring excellent collaborative skills and the ability to coordinate efforts across globally distributed teams

Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related field

• Experience with GraphQL and Restful APIs

• Android & iOS Mobile app development with hands-on React Native

• Knowledge & experience of web technology stacks, public cloud platforms (AWS & Azure), Azure OpenAI models, Python, Serverless architectures, APIs

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience deciding when to use architectural, integration and software design patterns

• Utilize AI agents & tools to automate, optimize leveraging Azure OpenAI models and Retrieval Augmented Generation(RAG) pipelines to enhance employee experience products

• Experience with orchestrating the use of existing Artificial Intelligence models into developed products using Langchain

• Experience working within the Agile methodology

• Self-motivated, autonomous, empathetic, and excellent communication skills

• Experience in mentoring peer engineers
