About the Role

As a Principal Engineer, UI at Ogury, you will be at the forefront of shaping and enhancing our user interface technologies. You will lead a talented team of UI engineers, drive the design of user interfaces that delight our users, and contribute to the innovation of our products. If you are passionate about creating intuitive and visually appealing user experiences, this role is for you.

What you will be doing

• Lead the design and full-stack architecture of innovative and user-friendly interfaces for Ogury's suite of products.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to translate concepts into functional and effective user interfaces.
• Lead the development of the frameworks, pattern libraries, design systems, and other common tooling that aid Ogury’s UI development initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the UI engineering team.
• Be a key leader in the design and architecture of the full frontend stack.
• Stay updated on the latest UI trends, tools, and technologies to drive continuous improvement in UI development processes.
• Work closely with other engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of UI components with overall product architecture.
• Collaborate with UX designers to implement design systems that enhance consistency and user experience across products.
• Identify and implement strategies for optimizing UI performance to ensure responsive and smooth user interactions.
• Conduct regular code reviews and enforce coding standards to maintain high-quality UI code.
• Stay informed about emerging UI technologies and design trends.
• Lead research initiatives to explore and implement innovative UI solutions that elevate Ogury's products.

About you

• Strong experience in UI development with a focus on architecture and design.
• Extensive expertise building SaaS products, web applications and APIs, with past experiences managing similar problematics to what we face in the tribe (reporting, user management, authentication, authorization, help center, product analytics), with a strong focus on our current stack, and with a strong quality mindset.
• Proficiency in Node.JS and React.
• Prior experience within a leadership position, with the ability to lead technically and mentor other developers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Interest to think outside the box and keep up to date with technologies.
• Experience within a Business to Business environment with a focus on data within a self-service user interface.
