Your Role at Baxter

The successful candidate will design, develop, and evolve DevOps tools and functionality for architecting and structuring repositories, automatic builds, integration of automated testing, analysis tools and report generation. In this role you will work with a global cross-functional team whose primary objective is to bring to market a new medical device in the patient monitoring space, using cutting edge technology. Secondary to product development is the evolution of the features and offerings of our core software driving our mission of saving and sustaining lives.

What You'll be doing

• Applying your DevOps understanding to architect storage repositories, create build pipelines, and apply automated testing and code analysis tools for software systems
• Working multi-functionally to understand user needs for new and existing products
• Providing support with technical expertise across different medical products for new software features or functions
• Strong documentation to support the design and interface for software
• Troubleshooting activities
• Designing and implementing portions of software and builds for new devices or applications while also assisting with setting project schedules
• Software related documentation generation

What You'll bring

• 5+ years of experience
• Experience with DevOps tools for building Linux user packages and Kernel
• Experience in embedded design in C/C++ and C Make build system
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Passion for continuous learning

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Open embedded and Yocto build systems, bash, BitBake, Python, Cyber Security, and medical device development is strongly preferred
• Medical device experience and a working knowledge of software development life cycle processes, IEC 62304

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $68,000 to $156,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
