As a Principal Foundational Architect - Cloud Platforms you are responsible for defining the technology foundations for cloud-based delivery. You will work as part of a high performing and multi-functional team solving some of the most complex and visible projects at Nike. Seriouslythe impact is global and reaches across all of Nike, Inc.

Love to still write code? Phenomenal we do to! We are not an "Ivory Tower" organization. Not only do we define solutions and platform architectures, but you will also build deployable reference implementations.

It's in our nature to innovate, in addition to setting Nike's technology direction, foundational architecture is tasked with coming up with disruptive and innovative ways to solve groundbreaking opportunities.

Given the sheer number of people who will want to talk to you, you will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should be comfortable speaking to both technical and non-technical audiences up to C-level executivesHey, we said it was high visibility!

Now that we have you interested, here is what we're looking for:

• A passion for technology and solving interesting challenges.
• Proven problem solver and pragmatic thinker.
• At least 10 years experience in a lead development or architecture role(s).
• At least 5 years' experience with public cloud.
• Broad and deep expertise in cloud technologies for Azure (and/or AWS)
• Experience with Terraform, Cloud Formation or ARM Templates.
• Highly Skilled in one or more of the following (Java, NodeJS, Python, Bash)
• Experience in designing and implementing highly scalable web applications and services.
• Hands on engineering experience dealing with problems of scale.
• You consider yourself or have been told you are a T-shaped or E-shaped individual.
• Can translate business requirements to end-to-end solutions.
• Collaborative mind, able to work with a team to deliver the strongest solution.
• Self starter and takes ownership in the quality of work being delivered.
• Bachelor and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Management, or related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience

You have at least 5 years lead experience in 2 or more of the following areas:

• Cloud Infrastructure
• Security
• Continuous Delivery & DevOps
• Web Applications
• Mobile Applications
• Data & Analytics
• Integration
