The Global Architecture team partners and engages with business and technology leaders across all the business functions within the enterprise in planning, creating, maintaining, and carrying out a capability roadmap aligned to the overall company and functional strategies to ensure that the people, process, data insights/information, and technology needs are accurately captured and planned for short, medium, and long-term execution.
Who we are looking for
As Solution Architect for Supply Chain Domain, you will be part of a highly visible team passionate about enabling Nike's end-to-end value chain through modern technologies and methods. The strategy and architecture you help define will have a direct impact on Nike's End-to-End Digitization strategy.
You will be responsible for helping establish the practice of Enterprise Architecture within Nike and will bring broad experiences in driving quality and consistency across architecture methodology and work enterprise wide.
What you will work on
- Understands, communicates, and is an advocate for business and technology needs across all global Markets
- Ensures architecture alignment across domains and enabling functions (verticals and horizontals)
- Develops solution options, recommendations, designs based on domain roadmaps/requirements following API first model, enterprise security standards and reference architectures
- Gain acceptance of solution and ensure decisions are made and deviations from standards are accurately identified, addressed/documented
- Develop Enterprise Solution Architecture patterns, advocate and drive adoption of "standard methodologies" to ensure standardization of solution designs across the enterprise
- Identify and research innovative new technology to improve organizational capabilities, conduct proof of concepts and evolve architecture standards
- Capitalize on project work to ensure reusability
You will engage, collaborate, and partner with Nike's End-to-End Supply Chain leaders and team members across Business and Technology to understand long and short-term business strategies, provide thought leadership, and engage in proactive planning of an executable Design. You will engage, collaborate and partner with various functional leaders, technical leaders and executive collaborators globally, as well as provided expert technical advice to domain delivery team.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Management, or related field of study or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
- 7+ years combined hands-on engineering experience with public cloud, distributed computing, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and custom developed solutions
- 3+ years of experience developing Strategy, E2E Solution architecture and crafting technology roadmap
- Must have experience implementing solutions in one or more supply chain domains - Order Management, Inventory Management, Store Systems, Returns, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Inbound & Outbound Logistics, and/or Fulfillment solutions
- Must have experience designing/implementing highly scalable web services on cloud
- Experience driving a decoupled, composable platform architecture to enable supply chain capabilities at scale
- Ability to articulate and document architectural decisions and roadmaps at a senior executive level
- Knowledge of well-architected frameworks and experience designing platforms/systems for optimal performance, business continuity, compliance with security and privacy standards
- Must have experience on deploying microservices on one of the cloud providers - AWS (preferred) / Azure/ GCP
- Must have experience implementing supply chain solutions in retail / fashion industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively connect with both business and technology leadership teams
- Should have strong experience with Microservice architecture, Cloud Computing, DevOps, Java, Javascript, Angular, REST API, NoSQL DB
- Self-starter with high motivation and passion to thrive & adopt in a constantly evolving, fast-paced environment
*Remote Work Option - Open to remote work, except cannot work in South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia. These candidates will be required to relocate.
For employees based in Colorado, this position has an annual base salary range of $163,000 - $269,500.
For employees based in NYC and Westchester County, NY, this position has an annual base salary range of $193,500 - $321,000.
