Together, we're assembling a world-class global team united by one mission: to combat ransomware and breaches head-on. We are seeking an experienced Principal Solution Architect with deep expertise in cloud architecture, containerization, networking, and security to drive our product’s field-facing reference architecture and support strategic initiatives. This role will bridge technical and business domains, collaborating closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Field Enablement teams to ensure that Illumio’s solutions meet both current and future enterprise security needs.

Your Impact: 

• Develop Reference Architectures: Collaborate with Product Management to create, document, and refine Illumio’s reference architectures, addressing complex environments including multi-cloud, hybrid, and containerized infrastructures.

• Customer Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them architect secure solutions that leverage Illumio’s platform within diverse networking and cloud ecosystems.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to translate customer and field requirements into product features and capabilities.

• Technical Enablement: Provide technical support to field teams, develop technical documentation, and conduct architecture reviews to ensure field-facing teams understand and effectively communicate the value of Illumio’s solutions.

• Thought Leadership: Represent Illumio at industry events, webinars, and conferences, sharing insights and best practices on Zero Trust, cloud security, and modern architecture trends.

Your Toolkit:

• Extensive Experience: 10+ years in enterprise architecture, with a strong focus on security, cloud, networking, and containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration platforms, with hands-on experience in designing secure, scalable, and resilient architectures.

• Security Knowledge: Deep understanding of Zero Trust frameworks, network segmentation, and related security principles.

• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience conveying technical concepts to a wide range of audiences, from engineers to executives.

• Field Experience: Ability to understand field requirements and translate them into technical solutions, often working directly with customers in high-stakes, collaborative environments.
