THE POSITION
Job Description :• Actively drives the Implementation of customer specific requirements. Responsible for the feasibility, robustness and correctness of the Telematics Application SW components.• Responsible to provide fast expert level support to customers based in Michigan. Responsible to lead the troubleshooting and bug fixing activities for connectivity features.• Responsible to build, coach and lead a team of Telematics/Connectivity Application engineers distributed across Continental locations in the US and Mexico.• Contributes to the Connectivity Application Strategy for the Region North America.
o Identification of existing challenges and the creation of an action plan for mitigation/prevention.
o Definition of the design process and constraints to increase re-use of Application components
o Definition of the platform integration process, application development process and customer SW delivery process.• Leads the Technical discussions with North American OEMs and DMGs during troubleshooting and business acquisition phase.• Define a strategic approach to Improve the accuracy of Continental's effort estimations and quotations in the Telematics/Connectivity business. Support project management by leading the team to provide the right level of detail in estimations, correct tracking of metrics and participation in retrospective analysis.• Defines and Drives an Application SW Reuse strategy.• Contributes to the development process tailoring, focusing on value-add practices considering the program timing and resources situation.

Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelors Degree in Engineering

Internal or External Experience:• 7+ years of experience C/C++ development• 5+ years of experience developing for Linux devices• 5+ years of experience working on boot-up sequence analysis, scheduling priority fine tuning• 1+ working with cybersecurity concepts and standards relevant to connectivity features• 5+ years of experience defining Software Architecture• 2+ years of experience with the design, development and troubleshooting of connectivity features involving Wifi and Ethernet• 2+ years of experience working with TCP, UDP• 2+ years of experience with Device Tree, D-Bus, SystemD, Bash Scripting

Experience in the following topics is a plus:• Ethernet AVB• Bluetooth• Telematics• Qualcomm modem development tools• Jenkins
