Principal, Strategic Supplier Partnerships

Summary:
In this role, you will develop relationships with new supplier business prospects and recruit new supplier members representing significant size and revenue, for the strategic life science and industry offerings. You will convey the value of Vizient/Sg2 portfolios within and across supplier markets for the U.S. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and Vizient partners to close new business and effectively transition new supplier members to Sg2 management service and consulting teams.
Responsibilities:Β
β’ Identify appropriate supplier prospects and cultivate meaningful relationships with targeted new member organizations across pharmaceutical, medical device, life science and purchased services supplier organizations.
β’ Maintain and grow new member and existing member supplier relationships, serving as sales lead; accountable for sales activities that are measured on bookings and include established executive relationships.
β’ Create and deliver high-quality, persuasive sales presentations to C-suite and other supplier business teams.
β’ Prospect, assess, and interpret intelligence and portfolio developments on new and existing supplier members.
β’ Generate new supplier strategic sales and maintain assigned current member revenue.
β’ Facilitate and ensure timely delivery of contracting and contract implementation through liaison with supplier members and Sg2/Vizient legal teams.
β’ Develop robust pipelines to achieve sales plans while generating additional existing member add-on sales of analytic tools and consulting.
β’ Drive new member recruitment and business development.
β’ Maintain records for all assigned members, including contact information, key activity documentation, and active opportunities.
β’ Document and keep updates on relevant activity according to current standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
β’ Relevant degree preferred.
β’ 10 or more years of relevant experience required.
β’ Ability to build strong relationships with both internal team members and external customers required.
β’ Proven track record of success in sales within the healthcare industry required
β’ Experience in using consultative solution-selling approaches with life science suppliers is strongly preferred.
β’ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills β both written and oral. Ability to develop, promote, and communicate a vision.
β’ Willingness to travel.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $187,800.00 to $328,600.00.
