Role Summary: 

Lead Agero’s corporate strategy as it seeks to maintain and grow its market leading position in the vehicle assistance market by developing and executing an M&A strategy, corporate partnerships, and product line strategy. To be successful, you will become an expert on the market trends in the automotive industry including the mega trends of connected, autonomous, electric vehicles and ride sharing. This role will partner closely with the leaders of each line of business, conduct primary and secondary market research, competitive benchmarking, business model analysis, and data analysis that will support our overall go-to-market strategy and identify and test emerging growth opportunities. You will be involved in senior level management discussions and present to our board of directors. This is a highly visible role that will allow you to demonstrate strong strategic capabilities, and position you well for future roles in management positions in the lines of business. 

This position reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer. 

Key Outcomes :

  • Learn and absorb the Agero business and our role in the evolving automotive industry
  • Build critical relationships across the business characterized by partnership and influence
  • With an understanding of the Agero business and existing process, develop a multi-year roadmap/strategy and support implementation of that strategy
  • Lead M&A evaluation, prioritization and diligence to accelerate our corporate strategy
  • Assist in corporate development through strategic partnership identification and execution
  • Drive Agero’s overall GTM strategy development and execution by providing strategic expertise and insight

The Day to Day: 

  • Be the subject matter expert on relevant market intelligence
    • Partner with LOB leaders and product marketing team to integrate market feedback into go-to-market strategies to ensure products satisfy customer/client needs and wants
    • Monitor, organize, and report relevant industry news and current events to support market and competitive intelligence and assessment of new threats and opportunities arising in the marketplace.
    • Interface with other groups within Agero to collect and compile information in support of strategy development.
  • Develop business cases for new growth opportunities and work with cross-functional teams to test and vet assumptions
    • Create quantitative analyses, including the development of complex financial models, to evaluate and implement strategic options.
    • Support the due diligence analysis of potential M&A and partnership targets.
  • Develop and present findings and recommendations to Senior Leaders.

Education, Experience & Skills:

EDUCATION:  Undergraduate and MBA required for consideration

EXPERIENCE:  3-5 years of consulting experience or relevant corporate experience

SKILLS: 

  • Superior analytical and research capabilities
  • Relationship and influencing focused style
  • Extensive track record of strategy and/or strategic planning
  • Prior experience with developing/enhancing digital capabilities
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Will be in constant contact and expected to influence peers and senior team members across our network, strategy, business intelligence, and technical organizations.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:  <20% Travel
