Principal Structural Engineer

Edoxx Technical Services LLC is a US Company based in Houston, Texas, with access to +350 highly experienced and advanced Engineers and Technicians delivering know-how and expertise in Civil, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation engineering. Other related fields such as Projects Control, QA/QC Inspection, 3D Geometrical and Intelligent Modeling, and Drafting are also available.

Our client is looking for a Principal Structural Engineer to work on-site at their Houston office. Our ideal candidate will be a skilled Structural Engineer with expertise in refinery projects within the petrochemical industry and proficiency in STAAD. As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our existing infrastructure and projects, ensuring safety and structural integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all structural engineering aspects of refinery projects, including design, analysis, and evaluation of structures
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to complex structural engineering challenges in the refinery industry
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure structural integrity and safety of refinery structures
• Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of existing structures to identify potential issues or areas for improvement
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers to enhance their capabilities in structural engineering
• Collaborate with other disciplines such as civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering to ensure seamless integration of all aspects of the project
• Participate in design reviews, construction site visits, and client meetings to provide technical expertise and address any concerns or questions related to structural engineering

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
• Professional Engineering license (PE) is required
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering, specifically in refinery projects
• Expertise in using Staad Pro software for structural analysis and design is essential
• Proficient knowledge of relevant codes and standards for refinery structures (API, ASME, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively analyze complex structural systems and provide accurate solutions
• Proven leadership abilities with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
