Position Description:

Analyzes and details current processes, defines opportunities to meet project objectives, and makes recommendations for future approaches using technical tools -- Jira and Jira Align. Performs systems analysis using software and Agile development best practices. Develops systems to protect infrastructure, data, and systems from external and internal threats. Provides analysis leadership on complex systems analysis projects, often across subsystems and companies, in a matrix organization. Consult with business users to develop recommendations that address difficult and complex business needs and opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Leads and conducts interviews with business users to gather requirements.
• Analyzes technology needs and system and workflow challenges.

• Develops recommendations that address difficult and complex business needs and opportunities.
• Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex systems analysis projects, and defines projectscope.
• Leads other analysts in the execution of documents on large and complex projects and monitors the quality and progress of documents created by other analysts.
• Designs new systems based on requirements.
• Leads and participates in the definition of test strategies, and coordinates user acceptance testing efforts.

• Communicates progress of multiple projects to management, engages stakeholders on a regular basis, and manages expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
• Serves as industry subject matter expert, and identifies other subject matter experts who are the sources of requirements for large and complex projects.
• Works with other teams to evolve standards and best practices for systems analysis processes.
• Participates in incident/crisis management to assess business impact, determine/facilitate any workarounds, in concert with the production support organization.
• Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies.

• Coaches and mentors junior product analysts and developers on systems analysis techniques and business workflows.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Business Administration, Financial Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience performing system and data analysis, and data transformation on Web and mobile applications within an investment products brokerage environment and within the retirement (401k) industry.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Business Administration, Financial Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience performing system and data analysis, and data transformation on Web and mobile applications within an investment products brokerage environment and within the retirement (401k) industry.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

• Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") analyzing business requirements written in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria, using requirement gathering tools -- JIRA and Rally; designing a process flow/workflow in MS Visio for Money Movement and Brokerage Transactions; implementing content and analytical solutions, using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Target; and defining reporting requirements, using Adobe tagging and Localytics.
• DE creating back-end/API development, using AWS cloud solutions; defining functional and nonfunctional requirements, using AWS cloud technologies; defining user interactions, using front-end technologies - React, HTML, and CSS; defining system reactions, using back-end technologies - Java; and performing functional testing using back-end API testing tools Postman -- to ensure proper data return.
• DE designing and building databases, using Entity-Relationship (ER) diagrams, to define relational tables, primary and foreign keys, stored procedures, entities, and triggers; creating a database from scratch to store customer and transactional data into Oracle and PostgreSQL; and writing SQL queries for data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting; and using SQL querying tools -- DB Visualizer and SQL Developer -- against a data lake created in Snowflake.

• DE designing and building ETL services in Informatica to migrate data from on-prem database --DB2 and Oracle -- to a Snowflake cloud database; obtaining data from vendors using Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) process and Managed File Transfer (MFT) tool -- Axway; and loading vendor data into a database, using ETL process designed in Informatica.
