Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed.
• Assist in the preparation of multiple work products in the Project and Technical process areas.
• Perform system engineering activities and assist in the preparation of a work product in the following technical process areas: Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysist, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal.
• Assist with Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control. Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.
• Perform analysis of technical alternatives for a project and make preliminary recommendations.
• Interact with the Government regarding technical considerations.
• Coordinate the work of other contract engineers or technicians.
• Assist in recommending new or innovative approaches to technical or engineering issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 14 years of system engineering experience; OR Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of system engineering experience; OR a Master's degree plus 8 years of system engineering experience
• Minimum 6 years work experience serving in a software development environment supporting multiple development teams
• Ability to work with senior technical staff and government team to optimize and improve processes and quality practices
• Understand the process of maintaining and developing the environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing, and integration
• Knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and Jira
• Oral and Written Communication Skills
• Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to use MS Office
• Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Physical Requirement:

• Sedentary Position
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
• Repetitive Motions
