Become part of our team developing the first independent commercial space station. This space station is based on our expandable LIFE™ habitat, serviced by Dream Chaser® spaceplane, and will provide the facilities and services for commercial research, manufacturing and tourism.
Primary Responsibilities:
This is a Lead position for the Logistics & Transportation Segment. As the Logistics & Transportation Lead, you will provide scope definition, technical review, mentoring, and planning to the team. As a technical leader, you will be crucial in planning, tracking, and coordinating across the Segments and reporting to Enterprise SEIT. You will be the driver in ensuring program issues and problems are identified, tracked, and resolved and the success of the program. You will be responsible for program risk management and ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, tracked, and managed.
Must-haves:

• Bachelors of Science degree in an engineering related discipline and typically 14 (fourteen) or more years of relevant experience; higher education may be considered in lieu of experience
• Relevant work experience may substitute for required education
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
• Willing to work in a fast-paced commercial environment
• Strong tactical execution and data analysis experience
• Ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations

Preferred:

• In addition to formal training in engineering or a hard science, a Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or Business Administration is desirable
• Experience with human spaceflight crew systems and/or payload design and/or operations
• Experience with new technology development, roadmap planning and development activities necessary for market insertion
• Space industry program management experience

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $134,597.00 - $185,070.89
Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
