Job Description:

Ready for a challenge that will keep you on the cutting edge of cyber security? National Security Solutions works on top level cyber security for national defense programs and is hiring experienced Systems Engineers with a focus on research, innovation and solving mission critical challenges.

We need our Engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to tackle new challenges across the full stack as we continue to push security forward. In this role you will analyze existing systems and define, design, develop, and implement moderately complex technical products and systems. You will be a member of a team comprised of system engineers, software engineers, data scientists and analysts working to optimize operations of a cyber operations teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with end users to capture their needs and translate them to requirements.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Lead to ensure requirements are met and traceable in proposed systems/solutions
  • Propose new processes to fill gaps in current workflows
  • Capture and articulate requirements for a multi-disciplinary team which can include, but not limited to: other system engineers, software engineers, data scientists, and analysts
  • Serve as the primary facilitator in requirement collection and refinement
  • Support agile development processes and lead associated meetings (think Scrum Master-esque)
  • Provide technical oversight to ensure that the team of system engineers, software engineers, data scientists and analysts are working in concert to execute on priorities.
  • Works with Project and Program managers to develop a technical roadmap to track milestone deliveries and increase transparency with customer.
  • If desired, support development of prototypes when low code or no code solutions are available

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as a systems engineer and technical expertise in the areas of software development, systems engineering, system integration, software architecture, or technology insertion for complex hardware/software systems
  • Experience leading medium to large size teams
  • Ability to create technical and design documentation
  • Comfortable building project roadmaps and keeping schedules
  • Familiarity with cyber domain
  • Ability to work closely with end users and development teams
  • Agile Development experience

Salary Range:

$121,900.00 - $219,400.00
