The Principal Systems Integration Engineer will define and execute the Systems Integration Strategy while actively managing the system integration process. They will develop and implement a robust and efficient systems integration testing strategy and identify opportunities to improve integration and testing processes, driving enhancements with a focus on automation.

Accountabilities include:

Implementing and managing Systems Integration Strategy and Process

  • Define and manage system integration strategies to improve cycle time and reduce verification issues.
  • Track progress, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure adherence to integration processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective End-to-End integration.
  • Maintain metrics and communicate integration status to stakeholders.

Leading Systems Integration Test Strategy Execution

  • Develop and execute systems integration test strategies, including stress testing and automation.
  • Ensure comprehensive and aligned End-to-End testing coverage across teams.
  • Align automation plans with Systems V&V and secure resources to support testing needs.
  • Provide progress updates on integration testing to key stakeholders.

Improving Systems Integration Process, Practices, and Tools

  • Champion best practices and drive process improvements for systems integration and testing.
  • Maintain integration architecture maps and align global integration practices.
  • Mentor engineers to enhance integration and testing capabilities across teams.
  • Deliver training, promote systems thinking, and ensure integration tools are up to date.

Minimum:

  • Degree in Engineering/Science (preferred: Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Biomedical, or Systems).
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering, integration, verification, validation, and project delivery.
  • Extensive R&D/product development experience, ideally with firmware-controlled or high-tech products.
  • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams to meet milestones.
  • Effective communicator adaptable to various audiences.
  • Skilled in influencing senior stakeholders and decision-making.
  • Broad technical development experience across multiple disciplines.
  • Independent, collaborative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in Agile product development.
