As part of the US Omni Tech organization, this role will be critical in delivering the portfolio execution plan working with stakeholders across business, products, engineering, TPM and finance. You will focus and own on establishing a continuous planning process that will be in sync with the long-range plan, annual operating plan, and quarterly plan. This role will closely monitor the planning cycles, help identify dependencies across functional teams and work with these teams to track progress, identify roadblocks, remediate issues, and communicate status to stakeholders to ensure our teams deliver our plans successfully. In this role you will report to the Senior director responsible for Product, Portfolio and Production Management, Walmart U.S.
About the US Omni Tech TPM portfolio planning team
The US Omni Tech TPM portfolio planning team focuses on collaborating with teams across product, engineering, TPM that develops strategic and tactical delivery roadmaps in alignment with corporate strategy. The TPM portfolio team is also responsible to make sure of delivery of the strategic initiatives in the US Omni Tech organization with alignment to Walmart Global Technology vision and direction
Key responsibilities:
  • Informing strategic direction and leverage listening systems and collaboration with product team to ensure delivery of appropriate business impact and improved customer experience
  • Ensuring strategies land within overall operating models and plans while enabling the right windows within our fiscal year constructs and quarterly delivery milestones
  • Enabling efficient engineering resource utilization and delivery by simplifying and clarifying priorities and creating plans with appropriate milestones for advance planning, executive buy-in and
  • Establish a resource capacity allocation process & tool that transforms the planning process, by working & collaborating with product, TPM and engineering partners.
  • Improving the business processes with a continuous improvement mindset to drive efficiencies in portfolio planning and increase scale and throughput across the entire ecosystem
  • Create transparency & versioning in the planning process by documenting & publishing the inputs and assumptions that went into the planning process that generated the plan output.
  • Collaborate and lead the system transformation initiatives that are required to scale the portfolio planning process across different products and planning cycle timelines.

  • You are accountable and results-driven while prioritizing relationships and communicating fluently with both technical, Product and business leaders in enabling the planning and delivery of technology solutions in alignment with business strategy.
  • You can partner with Tech Program Management, Product, Engineering and Finance leaders to deliver quarterly portfolio planning efforts.
  • You are the type of person who feels a personal stake in everything that you work on, has a strong sense of ownership, has a love for data, enjoys solving complex problems and knows how to foster strong relationships and build trust.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years leadership experience in Information Technology
  • Proven success in a leadership capacity in software product strategy and planning functions
  • Experience supporting and executing on a large software portfolio partnering with multiple business stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of the Atlassian products like JIRA, JIRA Align and third-party solutions like Big Picture, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple executive levels of the organization
  • Exhibits critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical capabilities with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work and adapt to a fast-paced dynamic environment with consistent change
  • Portfolio Management Professional (PMP) and/or Project Management /Professional (PMP) certification a plus

Requires knowledge of:
  • Program management/planning techniques, tools, and frameworks; Benefits analysis;
  • Risk management methodologies; Project management tools, techniques, and methodologies; Project tracking tools, dashboards, and reports; Change management;
  • Domain-related terms and success metrics relevant to program context.
  • Stakeholder identification and engagement; Processes and ways of working across various groups; Relationship management techniques; Techniques to manage conflicting stakeholder priorities and ambiguity; Stakeholder management strategy.
  • Program management documents; Qualitative and quantitative data management (for example, feedback, facts, analysis).

Minimum Qualifications...
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area
  • 10 years' experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
