Principal Technical Project Manager

As a Technical Project Manager on the Warehouse Robotics team, you will manage the development of the next application for the Stretch Robot from early R&D efforts to launch and support, and additionally support existing efforts. You will work closely with product and engineering leadership to establish and execute large-scale technical plans, facilitating negotiations of scope, timelines, and roadmaps with all stakeholders. A successful Technical Project Manager will coordinate with autonomy, controls, vision, software, and hardware teams to design and deliver advanced mobile robotics systems. You will manage project execution, including running cross-functional project meetings, identifying status, dependencies, and risks, and communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the Stretch team.

How you will make an impact:

• Work with product and engineering leadership to develop plans for large projects on both new and emerging applications of Stretch
• Work across the autonomy, controls, vision, software, and hardware teams to coordinate technical development
• Manage the major deliverables and milestones of new Stretch applications
• Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple teams and stakeholders, navigating competing priorities
• Communicate regularly on status, schedule, risks, and changes to planned work
• Coordinate and run regular project meetings

We are looking for:

• 5+ years experience managing technical productization of highly innovative, complex technology
• 3+ years of experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and assessing technical and programmatic risks
• Experience with Jira and software development methodologies (e.g. agile, scrum)
• Technical background, ability to build a systems-level understanding of complex robotic systems
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to distill complex technical information and balance competing priorities into concise

• Experience in mobile robotics or autonomous vehicle industries, particularly with projects that integrate large-scale localization, navigation, control/planning, perception, and safety systems
