Principal Technical Writer

Banyan Software is seeking a Principal Technical Writer to join our team in our Developer Hub Chennai. 
This pivotal role involves creating comprehensive technical due diligence reports to guide our acquisition processes.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in technical writing, particularly in the context of technology stacks and software architecture.
Key Responsibilities:

Technical Due Diligence Reporting:

• Craft detailed technical due diligence reports to assist in acquisition decision-making. These reports should accurately capture the technical strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of potential acquisitions.

Collaboration with Engineering Teams:

• Work closely with engineers and technologists to understand complex technical information. Interpret and translate this information into accessible, accurate, and meaningful content for diverse audiences, including the M&A and operating teams.

Process Development:

• Design and implement writing and organizational processes to efficiently manage multiple concurrent diligence processes. This includes the application of conventional knowledge management tools as well as exploring next-generation AI-based tools.

Cross-Departmental Communication:

• Serve as a liaison between the technical and non-technical teams, ensuring that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of technical assessments and implications.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in technical writing and due diligence to continually improve the quality and relevance of reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on software technology stacks and architecture-level documentation
• Fluency in English, with exemplary written and verbal communication skills
• Solid understanding of various technology stacks and the ability to interpret complex technical information
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
