Principal UX Designer

Job Description

O.C. Tanner is looking for a principal UX designer to own and drive reporting, data visualization, and administrative tools for our Culture Cloud platform. Culture Cloud is a suite of employee recognition applications and services that help employees thrive at work by connecting them to purpose, accomplishment, and each other.

This experienced product professional will play a pivotal role in validating needs and collaborating on discovery design activities (with Product, Design, and Engineering team members) for enterprise-grade reporting data visualization capabilities that delight our enterprise customers administrative end-users as well as ensure business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a strategic vision for the experience of our client-facing administrative tools.
• Act as a member of design leadership to orchestrate the user experience across all products and platforms.
• Use storytelling and persuasion to connect strategy and vision with day-to-day practicality.
• Coordinating projects and expected outcomes with our UX team members in India.
• Ensure product design best practices are being followed to ensure business objectives and outcomes are being met.
• Work closely with Product and Research to understand requirements and pain points, and synthesize them into wireframes and UI designs.
• Delivering end-to-end product projects for the team.
• Presenting concepts and ideas to the product org and stakeholders.
• Running design collaboration and review sessions.
• Bringing new ideas to the group as well as looking for ways to improve the design processes.
• Produce UX strategy documents, flows, wireframes, etc.

Job Requirements

• A strong portfolio demonstrating strong design skills and designing for outcomes
• Figma is our design tool of choice, you should be an expert in the tool.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design.
• Understand the technical limitations and the trade-offs behind your design decisions.
• Strong UI and interaction skills.
• Proficient with prototyping software and an experimentation mentality.
• Disposition for mentoring and growing the team.
• Collaborative skillset to coordinate stakeholders and contributors.
• Project management and delegation skills to manage team workloads.
