Principal Vertical Insights Manager
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning - You will develop and execute actionable industry insights that identify areas for C.H. Robinson to accelerate growth and share of market, engaging with appropriate senior level internal and external customer contacts to develop and execute objectives
- Innovative Insights - You will tap into C.H. Robinson's rich data and reporting resources to drive growth and stay ahead of industry trends and advancements
- Data Storytelling - You will leverage insights and big data from syndicated data sources and incorporate it into vertical strategies that will steer vertical growth and drive success for our business
- Leading and Developing Talent - You will train and influence our commercial teams to use insights to drive action and business development within their business/account
- Connectivity - You will ensure the voice of the customer is incorporated into the vertical strategy through connectivity with vertical sales resources
- Share Out - You will present findings and recommendations to internal and external customers as well as leadership convey insights and drive informed decision-making
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 10 years' professional experience in data insights and analytics, sales, or a related field
- Experience utilizing syndicated data sources such as ACNielsen, IRI, Household Panel, Spectra, loyalty card data
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical/data interpretation and objective problem solving skills
- Strong strategic influencing, and cross-functional leadership skills to solve business issues and uncover new opportunities
- A strong change agent who possesses a creative thought process to tackle issues with a fresh, new approach
- Adept at analyzing and utilizing consumer insights to curate sales stories and vertical strategies
- Strong external market focus toward the customer/consumer to maximize business results
- Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
