Principal/Lead Software Engineer - Autonomy Products
Job Description

Responsibilities
- Lead a software development team to design, implement, and test embedded multi-vehicle autonomy software systems utilizing AI, robot planning and optimization and machine learning algorithms.
- Integrate autonomy software components and algorithms onto real-world unmanned aerial platforms
- Support development of competitive proposals and follow-on programs for acquisition customers, including government agencies and industry primes
- Present technical results to internal and external customers
Requirements
- BS or higher w/ 10+ years of relevant experience in software development for operationally deployed systems.
- Mastery of C/C++ for embedded systems.
- Proficiency with agile software development methodology as a scrum master
- Experience with DevSecOps, software factories, and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired Skills
- Experience developing multi-vehicle autonomy software real-world robot or vehicle prototypes
- Experience with memory safe languages such as Rust or Go
- Knowledge of defense industry open standards such as OMS/UCI, FACE, UCS
- Experience integrating software with modeling and simulation environments such as AFSIM
- Experience with systems/software engineering processes, including development tools, configuration management, SysML/UML, DevOps, and test/QA methods
