Print Marketing Specialist
Job Description
The Print Marketing Specialist is responsible for the tactile side of marketing. This role supports the production of catalogs, brochures, postcards, and mailers. It requires a collaborative approach in working cross-functionally with other departments to ensure that marketing collateral supports business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong marketing background, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.
Location:
This position is based out of Ferguson's Corporate Offices in Newport News, VA with an opportunity to work hybrid on the Ferguson Flex Schedule (three days in office and two remote).
Responsibilities:
- Seek input from Category Management on merchandising objectives and product selection.
- Translate business objectives into clear direction for the Creative Team, including Graphic Designers, Copywriters, and Media Studio.
- Maintain a list of featured products to function as a blueprint for catalog design.
- Query our database to ensure accuracy of product descriptions, images, and prices.
- Manage feedback process between Creative Team and business partners.
- Work with Project Managers to build production schedules and keep all parties on track.
- Refine workflows to unlock efficiency gains and ensure consistency of process.
- Coordinate development of supporting web content such as landing pages, lead forms, and QR code redirects.
- Liaise with 3rd party agency on execution of print marketing campaigns.
- Learn about the multiple business units that constitute Ferguson Enterprises so as to effectively market their products and services. This includes Residential Builder, HVAC, Waterworks, and Facilities Supply.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, merchandising, or project management.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Basic knowledge of print terminology (IE - folio, signature, imposition).
- Basic knowledge of print concepts (IE - how a press works, how co-mail works)
- Basic knowledge of design concepts (IE - hierarchy, contrast, proximity).
- Experience with project management software (IE - JIRA, Workfront).
- Experience querying database via SQL or a user interface (IE - Birst).
- Ability to balance input from multiple partners from multiple departments with disparate and sometimes conflicting interests.
- Ability to stay organized and maintain an easily referenced "paper" trail.
- Ability to roll with punches and adapt as plans change.
- Ability to streamline processes, automate, and find ways to work smarter.
- Ability to provide constructive and diplomatic feedback.
- Ability to summarize complicated processes into easily digested instructions.
- Ability to be proactive, thinking ahead and establishing contingency plans.

Pay Range:
$3,600.00 - $5,866.30
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
