Job Description:

Black Bear Technology seeks a tier 3 Systems Engineer focused on Print Services in Pocatello, ID. In this job, you will support a government agency's offices and professionals across the globe. Responsible for consulting with teams of information technology specialists to automate and streamline the delivery of print services and devices to various locations. Responsible for migrating existing print system infrastructure consisting of approximately 6000 devices to newer operating systems, firmware, and application versions where appropriate. Responsible for leveraging pre-existing and funded systems to identify areas of improvement and opportunities to right-size the number of systems needed to support customers' needs.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and provide ongoing support of the Windows Infrastructure regarding enterprise print services
• Create and maintain bare-metal and virtual machines with the appropriate distribution of Windows and network configuration, using tools that include Windows Deployment Services, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, System Center Configuration Manager, Hyper-V, SQL Server, Windows 2016/2019, and Windows 10
• Possess a proficient understanding of networks, storage, and LAN/WAN systems and applications as well as their dependencies
• Evaluate, improve, and maintain the information security throughout the Windows infrastructure
• Work in a hybrid environment of virtualized and cloud platforms
• Monitor and correct server issues and create recovery processes for failures and performance bottlenecks. use native, add-on tools, and third-party tools to troubleshoot malfunctions and optimizations. use tools include Resource Kits, Development Kits, and commercial tools.
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
• Ensure technical documentation exists for all systems and is kept up to date to include inventory and patch levels of all systems, including hostnames, property numbers, IP addresses, enclave, number of cores, number of processors, admin Passwords, certificates, and service accounts on a monthly interval
• Document system configurations to include passwords, access controls, version number and revision numbers, patch levels, and inventory to include hostnames, TCP/IP addresses, number of processors, and number of cores, memory, and license keys
• Responsible for engineering and configuring print systems between various classification levels and ensuring the security of printers and associated systems, including print servers, printer security software, printer back-end software, and firmware.
• Configure print services for redundancy and failover capability and ensure backups and recovery of the print services configuration and backend infrastructure
• Provide hands-on experience implementing and supporting commercially available document management software and hardware configuration suites from leading printer vendors hosted on Windows Server platforms and utilizing SQL server instances
• Troubleshoot, respond, and resolve Tier 3 and Tier 4 tickets related to print devices, back-end print infrastructure, security patching, and configuration

Required Skills:

• Must have a current Top-Secret Clearance with the capability of obtaining an SCI / CI-Poly if needed to meet contract requirements.

• File Services

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
