About the Role:

Working with the company’s privacy team, the Data Privacy Intern will carry out strategic and operational responsibilities in the development of policies, procedures, and trainings on data privacy issues. The intern will gain hands-on experience about the complexities of implementing privacy regulations like GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA at a rapidly growing pre-IPO company in a nascent and fast-growing space. As a part of this role, the intern will participate in possible projects such as enhancing the company’s processes for handling data subjects rights requests, documenting data flows and data maps, conducting data privacy impact assessments, and implementing privacy and security controls.

This position is based out of Click’s headquarters located in Tribeca, NYC, at the center of one of the fastest-growing digital health communities. This is a hybrid internship in which you will come to the office Wednesday and Friday. 

Responsibilities:

• Partner with internal functional teams to ensure compliance with HIPAA, as well as state and national data privacy regulations and laws.
• Identify data privacy concerns with respect to new initiatives, programs, projects and propose mitigation strategies.
• Participate in the management tracking metrics, drafting documentation on a variety of data privacy compliance program processes that uphold the highest standards.
• Assist with cross-department privacy initiatives with Cybersecurity, Technology Development, Product Management, Commercial, Science, Medical Office, and HR.
• Support communications planning, including the development and implementation of data privacy training.
• Coordinate and enable compliance monitoring activities, including reporting and analytics.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with graduation dates between Winter 2023 and Spring 2025.
• Experience developing and writing policies, standard operating procedures, Privacy Impact Assessments, or other technical writing.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse set of key stakeholders, including data privacy counsel in communicating regulatory guidance.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to construct clear and concise analyses.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance short and long-term project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be excited to learn through a combination of on-the-job and independent learning.

Compensation: $22/hr

Hours and Duration: 

This is a part-time, 30 hours/week position. The internship will have a duration of 10 weeks, from May 17 to July 28, 2023.
