Privacy Manager

The Team:
The Information Security and Privacy department is responsible for setting enterprise security policies and standards that are designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Morningstar information. The security team offers guidance and technical expertise in areas like application security, policies and procedures, disaster recovery and compliance/regulation. We analyze emerging security threats and conduct risk and vulnerability assessments to ensure that our information remains secure.
The Role:
The Privacy Manager will help develop and implement efficient and scalable policies, procedures and processes regarding privacy matters to our corporate and product partners. We are looking for collaborative, self-motivated and flexible people. A successful candidate will have expertise in the global data protection regulatory regimes and privacy program management best practices and a willingness and ability to learn more.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Support the execution of Morningstar's privacy program
+ Develop and maintain privacy policies, procedures and processes in conjunction with product teams and corporate functions such as software/cloud teams, human resources and finance
+ Be a primary advisor to product teams, sales staff and other corporate partners for questions related to privacy
+ Manage privacy team projects
+ Identify program gaps and implement solution to remediate gaps
+ Develop, track, and report privacy-related metrics
+ Assist with creating, publishing, presenting and maintaining privacy and security educational/training material
+ Manage and operate privacy related technologies
+ Liaise with third party audit personnel as required
Qualifications
+ A bachelor's degree
+ 3-5 years of relevant (program or project management in privacy or compliance) experience
+ Ability to exercise good judgement and balance risks in ambiguous and complex situations
+ Ability to prioritize, adapt, and autonomously work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic work environment
+ Familiarity with IT audits and risk assessments
+ Familiarity with security and privacy frameworks and general privacy & security concepts
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and switch priorities with short notice
+ Ability to independently drive projects to execution
+ Strong business analysis, research and analytical skills
