The Privacy Operations team is responsible for handling complex support inquiries related to global data privacy regulations.Â
We're looking for a Privacy Operations Specialist to join the Privacy Ops team!
What you’ll do:
Use data to drive privacy-centric innovation and give voice to user-impacting concerns.
Deliver key projects within the Privacy Operations roadmap; including refining an execution plan, measuring progress, and presenting results to stakeholders throughout project lifespan
Create and document process and policies in adherence with Snap’s brand, values, and privacy policies
Respond to Snapchatter’s questions in an efficient and accurate manner
Collaborate with the Privacy Legal, Customer Operations, and Engineering teams to answer privacy questions from Snapchatters
Facilitate onboarding and refine training materials for new team members
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to detect and handle escalations of a sensitive and urgent nature
Understanding of global data privacy regulations (such as GDPR, CPRA, COPPA, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and investigative skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal oversight
Ability to focus and thrive in a dynamic work environment
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
Flexible work hours: full-time and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience collaborating with internal and external cross-function stakeholders at all levels of the company
High level of judgment and ability to solve ambiguous problems; both independently and with peers
Developed perspective on prominent trends and issues in the online safety world
A passion for Snapchat, data privacy, and online safety
Experience providing high quality, specialized support to users; preferably including data privacy or compliance issues

The hourly rate for this position is $37.50/hour
This position is eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs
