Position Overview

As a Product Manager on the Data Privacy & Governance team, you are responsible for transforming the way Autodesk uses technology to manage Privacy. You will develop solution roadmaps and drive delivery of technology solutions that proactively meet the needs of Autodesk, global regulations, and customers. You will develop solutions that are beloved by our internal and external users for ease of use, intuitive designs, and flexibility for their workflows and needs.

Product Managers in our organization work with matrixed teams and sit at the intersection of engineering, program management, design, and strategy. We shape high-level product goals but also get our hands dirty. On an average day, you might pitch a concept to senior leadership; create a launch plan with program management; work with designers and researchers to conduct user interviews or concept tests; develop and iterate on requirements; analyze usage data; work with Legal to translate what is required by the law; and pair with an engineer on implementation. Throughout, you will consistently tell a clear and compelling story about the problems you're solving and why they are important to prioritize. You'll toggle in between vision and specifics depending on your audience, and you'll explain what success looks like, why it matters, and how you'll measure it.

This role will focus on the technologies that provide transparency and choice to customers when obtaining their consent to process their personal data and that ensure Autodesk respects individual preferences and permissions.

Responsibilities

  • Own roadmaps, workflows and frameworks used in our solutions, partnering closely with stakeholders and other product and engineering teams to support the broader Autodesk Privacy ecosystem
  • Become an expert in various Privacy workflows to identify new opportunities, prioritize features, and help our customers succeed with our products
  • Collaborate with peers, design and engineering partners, and other product leads to develop overall product vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Work with researchers, customers, and internal experts to discover pain points and identify opportunities
  • Communicate and collaborate with partner teams and other stakeholders to build consensus to navigate through customer escalations and drive the product forward
  • Partner with engineering, design, and marketing on initiatives, product requirements, development, launch, and adoption
  • Present and influence the product vision, strategy, demos, and learnings to leadership, stakeholders, partner product teams, and the broader organization

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience or related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to discover, define, develop, launch, and analyze new features or products
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with our customers as well as internal stakeholders (e.g. fellow product managers, product designers, engineers, sales, marketing, legal, etc.)
  • Passion for identifying, prioritizing, and solving user problems
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build strong data-driven arguments, prioritize business strategy in mind, and evangelize projects to generate energy within an organization
  • Ability to drive projects forward within a large organization with distributed teams across the world

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at an enterprise software company that is building SaaS (Software as a Service) products

The Ideal Candidate

  • You get stuff done and you simplify what is complex and ambiguous
  • Self-starter who steps up to handle new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
  • Courageous and are not afraid to take charge
  • You lead in a way that demonstrates finesse, emotional intelligence, and business savvy
  • Able to quickly understand where bottlenecks exist, how activities and processes are interrelated to each other, and make recommendations that can be realized
  • Know how to influence priorities through data and storytelling
  • Don't shy away from causes that may face resistance, and you know how to develop a shared vision and understand the value of getting people on board with your ideas
  • Love a dynamic environment with complex and critical priorities
  • Have a strong work ethic, craftsmanship, and quality standards for communications
  • Comfortable in acting with a clear sense of ownership, taking personal responsibility for decisions, actions, and failures
  • Gain the trust and support of others and give credit to others for accomplishments and contributions
