About the Role:
We are working with a Peninsula-based family of four to find a full-time Private Chef who can bring creativity, consistency, and a global perspective to their kitchen. The role covers daily lunches and dinners, grocery shopping and farmers’ market sourcing, and light entertaining. Menus should be clean, well-balanced, and globally diverse, with cuisines ranging from Thai and Chinese to Spanish, Italian, and Indian. Service includes light lunches, plated dinners several nights a week, family-style meals, and meal prep for days off.
The schedule is typically Monday to Friday with some weekend flexibility, averaging about 20 days per month. The family also travels to Aspen once or twice a year and would like their Chef to join. We are seeking a Bay Area based professional with strong culinary training and a track record of stability in private households.
Qualifications:
• Professional experience in high end culinary settings.
• Broad knowledge of diverse cuisines with a creative approach to menu development.
• Strong eye for detail in food presentation.
• Adaptable, discreet, and organized with a hands-on approach.
• Demonstrated consistency and commitment in previous roles.
• Local candidates preferred; relocation considered only in limited cases.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $180,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
