About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to support the Private Client Advisors who are accountable for the delivery of wealth management advisory services to high net worth clients of Commerce Trust Company

Essential Functions

  • Perform service and fulfillment activities to meet the needs and expectations of the Commerce Trust Company clients
  • Act as an additional point of contact within the client relationship team for clients and act as backup in the Private Client Advisors absence
  • Assist with account administration, document review and interpretation, fund transfers, discretionary actions within fiduciary engagements, and coordination of document for tax preparations.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion of relationships with existing clients and bring the opportunities to the Private Client Advisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required

  • Knowledge of ERISA Regulations, Uniform Principal and Income Act, gifting strategies, Income, Gift and Estate Taxes, and their impact on client's accounts.
  • Knowledge of the types of trusts and investment accounts and an understanding of the goals and objectives associated with each.
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  • Advance level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 3+ years client services experience required
