About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to work closely with the Capital for Business (CFB) partners to identify and evaluate investment opportunities, assist in the management of portfolio companies, and prepare investment communication materials.

Essential Functions
  • Screen and track new investment opportunities, conduct extensive company and industry research and participate in the due diligence process for new investment opportunities and portfolio company acquisitions
  • Create detailed financial models and analysis and prepare internal presentations for investment committee and limited partner representatives
  • Interface with legal and accounting advisors and lending partners to monitor existing portfolio investments
  • Review and ensure compliance with SBIC rules and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Strong understanding of SBIC rules and regulations
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and financial modeling skills with research and writing capabilities
  • Ability to effectively and thoughtfully interact with senior management teams, investment bankers and investors
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook


Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 2+ years experience in banking, investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, accounting, leveraged lending, or private equity required
