Join us as a Private Funds Analyst

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Private Funds Analyst to join our Private Banking team. In this role you will liaise between the front office relationship management staff and the accounting, compliance and operational departments supporting BBH's private funds business. The Product Analyst manages the on-boarding of new investors into private funds, responds to internal reporting, analytical and documentation requests and is responsible for the communication of investor contact information to fund administrators.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

Relationship Management Liaison

• Assist with the client on-boarding process for private funds: review client onboarding documentation, prepare subscription documentation and liaise with fund administrators on all aspects of the subscription process. Facilitate DocuSign workflows when appropriate.
• Communicate subscription, redemption, capital call and distribution amounts to relationship teams and facilitate client fundings
• Communicate subscription/redemption totals to external managers
• Research and approve relationship team requests related to private fund matters, including subscription/redemption requests, tax reporting, account onboardings/closings and marketing materials requests
• Respond to relationship team inquiries regarding private fund operational matters

Administration and Support

• Draft assignment agreements and coordinate processing of assignments with fund administrator
• Prepare subscription and fund data reports to various internal constituencies, including Investor Services, Risk, Compliance, and Client Onboarding
• Research and elevate fund reporting issues and coordinate with Alternatives Accounting on audit requests
• Communicate client contact changes updates with fund administrator
• Participate in managing of logistics of client portal access
• Maintain fund deliverables calendar

Reporting

• Aggregate data for fund regulatory reporting
• Coordinate the posting of tax estimates and K-1s within BBH portals
• Act as quality control representative for portal postings and escalate issues as needed

Process Enhancement

• Identify processing gaps related to the onboarding and maintenance of client subscriptions in private funds, present solutions to management and work to implement solutions
• Maintain and revise team procedures as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of relevant investment or investment analysis experience; familiarity with private fund structures a plus
• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record, required
• Strong analytical skills and experience with Microsoft Excel required
• Ability to analyze complex issues and make sound decisions
• Effective collaboration, negotiating and influencing skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with a commitment to success
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
• Strong conceptual and critical thinking skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary Range

$70,000-$85,000

BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
