Private Placement Analyst (Hybrid)

The Private Placement Analyst will be responsible for reporting on private placement activities and providing inforce support. This will include assisting operations, delegating and tracking tasks, sales tracking, case management, underwriting coordination, policy issue oversight, fund administration, hedge fund trading coordination, maintaining accurate fund information and disclosure records, problem resolution, training, and communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the operations of all proprietary Private Placement Insurance business from the onset of a potential case and throughout the entire life of the contract
- Run basic illustrations, inforce illustrations, create XML files, and calculate COI charges
- Create and maintain Breakage, Short of Liquid Asset, Death Sweep and SharePoint reports
- Manage registered/hedge fund reporting
- Work extensively with a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to accurately place new business and service inforce business
- Document the TPAs performance and assess the performance against Service Level Agreements in the contract
- Coordinate the successful execution of all registered and exempt fund trading; a process which involves multiple parties
- Create case design illustrations for Producer cases and internal analysis.
- Monitor internal and external requests for accuracy and timeliness, and assist in analyzing errors related to reporting, price files, trade issues, and new cases
- Audit a portion of other team members' client deliverables to ensure 100% accuracy
- Regularly draft professional correspondence to vendors, fund managers and administrators, Member Firms, insurance carriers, and internal teams
- Assist with invoicing and budget items
- Assist with additional projects and duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred
- 2+ years working experience in the financial industry preferred
- Knowledge of life insurance, fund administration, and/or annuity product knowledge is desired
- Life Insurance and/or Financial licenses or designations a plus
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical information to a non-technical audience and present findings to teams
- Accuracy and attention to detail are critical for analyst success
- Strong problem-solving skills in order to articulate end-to-end processes
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with team members
- Ability to quickly develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Able to work, both independently as well as a member of a team
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
