EVERY is seeking a talented and innovative member to join our Bioprocess Development team located at our South San Francisco, CA. As a Process Associate, you will have the opportunity to participate in activities directly related to different aspects of process development and industrialization of animal free animal proteins. You will be a key figure to work on manufacture of transformative ingredients and change the existing food system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate manufacturing equipment safely and effectively for production processing
  • Perform tasks based on written SOPs and guidance from the supervisor
  • Operate lab instrumentation to collect data and organize results
  • Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality
  • Troubleshoot challenges or unexpected behaviors during production
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Make solutions, media and plates
  • Prepare and stage materials to support experiments
  • Clean and sterilize labware
  • Ability to work in pilot plant settings stand for long periods of time and lift 25 lbs

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of lab experience
  • Experience making solutions, making media and plates, cleaning labware, operating autoclaves and industrial dishwashers, placing orders as needed
  • Comfortable with handling simultaneous tasks.
  • Comfortable working within a small, collaborative team, passionate about changing the world of food
  • Experience with following lab safety protocols and procedures

 Nice-to-have (but not required)

  • Existing knowledge about downstream processing equipment and operation of stainless steel bioreactor would be a plus
  • Associate degree or Bachelors degree is preferred

Pay Range: $79,000 - $86,025

At EVERY™ pay ranges are subject to change and assigned to a job based on the location specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.
