Process Engineer - Spartan Mowers

The Process Engineer will be responsible for Engineering Processes associated with the design of new product or products. i.e. SAP BOM Management, Change Management, CAD Design and Drafting.

What Will You Do?  

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:  

• Lead and coordinate engineering processes supporting new product concepts, new products, or improvements to existing products.

• Execute and manage SAP activities associated with Engineering Bill Of Material creation and release

• Execute and manage Design Change activities utilizing Windchill and it's SAP and CREO interfaces

• Support NPD and Sustaining Product Engineering with the completion of 3D CAD and drafting activities, as required, to support new product release and design change projects.

• Performs functions as required by established engineering procedures including project requests through engineering release and change management procedures.

• Assures that designs meet the requirements of the customer as defined by safety and any applicable industry or Toro standards.

• Keeps abreast of new technological developments, components, concepts, materials, manufacturing processes, or competitive environment, which would affect the design or design process.

What Do You Need?  

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: 

• Professional Engineering license, or

• Bachelors degree or higher in an ABET accredited Mechanical, Aeronautical or Agricultural engineering program 

• Minimum 3 Years of experience working on BOM creation and management in the 'SAP' (Enterprise Resource Planning) environment.

• Minimum 3 years of experience working on Design Change Management in the 'Windchill' (Product Lifecycle Management) environment or at the minimum familiarity.

• Minimum 5 years of experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Including the ability to create and define detailed GD&T Schemes for components and assemblies.

• Minimum 3 years of experience working with TTC (The Toro Company) Design and Drafting Standards or equivalent standards at a global OEM

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in CREO (Computer Aided Design Software) with advanced skills in 3D Modeling and Drafting.

Engineer II-Min of 2-4 years experience

Engineer III-Min of 4-6 years experience
