Process Improvement Specialist
Job Description
First Entertainment Credit Union is looking for a Process Improvement Specialist who will play a crucial role in identifying, analyzing, and optimizing operational processes within our retail department. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather data, conduct process assessments, and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and member satisfaction.
This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity reporting to the Process Improvement Manager and is based in Hollywood, CA. The targeted salary in California is between $85,000 and $105,000.
Responsibilities
· Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues contributing to process inefficiencies or customer dissatisfaction. Document findings and make informed recommendations to stakeholders.
· Utilize analytical tools and techniques to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
· Develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining operations, reducing costs, and enhancing customer experience.
· Lead cross-functional projects to completion with quantifiable results, monitor and track progress of improvement initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
· Develop standardized workflows and procedures to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
· Document current processes, proposed changes, and updated procedures in a clear and comprehensive manner and provide trainings to retail teammates accordingly.
· Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of process improvements.
· Monitor and analyze KPI data to track performance trends and identify areas for further optimization.
· Prepare data-driven reports and presentations for management, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
· Perform other tasks as assigned by the leadership team.

Requirements
· A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred but not required.
· At least 3 years of experience in process improvement, business analysis, or related field, preferably in the financial services industry or retail banking.
· Formal training in lean or six sigma methodology. Certification a plus.
· Working knowledge in Power BI.
· Proficiency in Power Automate or Power Apps a plus.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources.
· Proficiency in process mapping and analysis tools, such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar software.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
· Knowledge of retail banking operations and regulatory requirements is a plus.
· Ability to teach and coach others in process improvement methodology
