Ever since Arthur Guinness took out a 9,000 year lease on a Dublin brewery, some 264 years ago, we have been a business that is defined by the character of the people who work here. St. James's Gate Brewery in Dublin is Diageo's largest manufacturing facility in Ireland, and the largest stout brewery in the world, producing over three million pints of Guinness every day, supplying a growing Irish, UK and US market, and exporting to 90 global markets. Our main beer brands are Guinness, Rockshore, Hop House 13, Smithwick's and Harp. We also brew Carlsberg and Tuborg under licence for the Irish market, as well as a range of newer products, most recently Guinness 0.0. The brewery is highly utilised placing a premium on plant and process reliability.

We are delighted to share that we are looking for a Process Operator to join our Beer operations team in St James Gate. Our Beer category are made up of approximately 400 employees who are engaged in roles across St James's Gate, Belfast Packaging and Runcorn Packaging.

About the role:

As a Process Operator you will work as part of our core team responsible for delivering a range of tasks associated with operations within the manufacture of our products to the highest quality to agreed customer service levels, in a safe and efficient manner.

You will be required to continuously drive performance and improvement initiatives within brewing related processes in St James Gate Brewery.

Health and safety compliance is key, you'll be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside environmental and food safety standards and ensuring Key Performance Indicators and targets are met.

Main duties within the role will be to:

• Understand the functions, working within the cross-functional teams of the brewery.
• Collection and management of samples within brewing department.
• Carry out quality analyses relevant to the role, and ensure quality is right first time and all data input.
• Apply Manufacturing Excellence tools and techniques.
• Apply Good Laboratory Practices within the Main Laboratory.

About you

This role requires a proactive approach. You'll work closely with stakeholders in our brewing operations, planning and logistics teams to ensure that any risks to our customer service are mitigated; being a good communicator is important. You'll use your analytical mindset to support in root cause problem solving (RCPS) where required. Through a suite of manufacturing excellence tools we strive to achieve premier standards, and you'll support us on our continuous improvement journey by identify and undertaking projects in your area.
