Process Planner

Vast is looking for a Process Planner to join our growing team! 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Aid the Manufacturing team by generating technical specifications and operational guidelines for mechanical hardware incorporation, machining, fabrication, and additive manufacturing
• Decipher manufacturing/assembly sketches and process specifications to produce precise technician-level operating guidelines that fully satisfy design prerequisites
• Create, modify, and uphold visually-oriented, user-friendly instructions and process papers to fabricate and evaluate flight hardware and ground support equipment
• Incorporate corrections/changes from engineers into existing technical specifications, test processes, and technician-level operating guidelines
• Enhance the order of operations and assembly sequence to amplify build productivity and diminish the chance of technician mistakes
• Transform existing specification documents into uniform templates and perform formatting reorganizations in Microsoft Word
• Collaborate with engineering, domain experts, and shop floor staff to ensure that operating guidelines are correct and comprehensible
• Function as domain expert on confidential enterprise software systems and supervise initiatives to enhance feature sets and workflows to benefit the Manufacturing team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 2+ years of professional experience with manufacturing processes
• 1+ years of professional experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
• 1+ years utilizing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Proficient in transforming engineering instructions and data into actionable work orders intended for diverse audiences and skill levels
• At least 2 years of expertise in production planning or technical writing within the automotive or aerospace sector
• Proficiency in utilizing 2D and 3D visuals and both pixel-based and vector-based image-editing programs
• Familiarity with fluids system and wire harness blueprints, processes, and comprehension of technical diagrams
• Strong drive to finish and enhance tedious responsibilities that demand proficiency and meticulousness
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, SQL, and JavaScript programming languages
• Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Macro and VBA coding techniques
