Process Scientist (Upstream & Downstream)

Within this role you will be responsible in coordinating lab activities and acting as a key point of escalations to ensure seamless operations across shifts. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who excels in communication, maintains high standards of compliance and GDP, and contributes to process improvements through meticulous research and reporting.

This is a shift position, including day and night shift. 

As a Process Scientist, a typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following:

• Coordinating lab activities between day and shift teams ensuring clear communication and understanding of tasks
• Acting as point of escalation for shift team to resolve any issues as they arise
• Ensuring responsible shift handover communication and timely escalation of issues to day team management where required
• Ensuring compliance and GDP standards are maintained within the shift team
• Acting as initiator and owner of NOE records as they arise
• Contributing to knowledge-based reports summarizing conclusion of studies, investigations and process improvements
• Performing small scale mammalian cell culture and purification studies at the 2L scale to assess process quality and performance
• Producing and maintaining accurate records in accordance with site procedures and guidelines
• Maintaining lab supplies and equipment
• Working well in a team environment
• Demonstrating strong written and oral communication skills

To be considered for this opportunity you should have a BSc/MSc Biotechnology, Biochemistry or a related field with 2 years’ experience will be considered.
