Procurement Analyst

The Role:

The Procurement Analyst will drive supply chain excellence across all aspects of purchasing specifically raw and packaging materials.  This role will oversee all aspects of the purchasing supply chain including raw material and packaging sourcing, short/long term material forecasting, supply agreements, contracting, vendor negotiation and strategic planning.  This individual will collaborate with functional areas to ensure Supply Chain alignment with overall business strategies including volume, projections/forecasting, margin improvement etc. 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of supply chain sourcing
• Work with supply chain manager to implement a consumables purchasing plan
• Maintain inventory forecasts including managing multiple warehouses
• Ensure regular delivery of key ingredients from offsite warehouses to production factories
• Evaluate, refine and optimize the supply chain strategy and develop/design/implement the purchasing management plan to facilitate Meati’s short and long-term growth projections
• Raw material and packaging material responsibilities for existing and future facilities
• Drive the process for contracting, negotiating raw and packaging materials to support annual volume
• Develop and optimize monthly and annual forecasts for all suppliers
• Assist with raw material supply chain aspects of product development and future innovation
• Develop long-term partnerships with supplier network
• Develop long term material strategy designed to enhance “cost of goods sold” while simultaneously mitigating supply chain risk

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience and knowledge in a purchasing function with high growth consumer product goods, ideally food companies
• Proven supply chain leadership experience for high growth companies
• Experience with an ERP and MRP systems is preferred but not required
• Success in optimizing purchasing supply chain strategies, economics, efficiencies, and improvements
• Strong cross-functional strategic leadership experience, communication
• Strong problem solving and proven analytical skills to successfully work across multiple disciplines of the business to solve complex problems and efficiently address issues
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to make quick judgment calls on priorities and multi-task
• Strong communication skills and a collaborating attitude
• Strong business skills with a focus on risk mitigation
• Passionate about eating well and living a healthy lifestyle

Compensation:

Range is $65,000 – $85,000, including a potential annual bonus and equity. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
