As an integral member of the Kulicke and Soffa Product Development team, you will be responsible for the creation and implementation of procurement and sourcing strategies that support equipment development objectives. A strong understanding of Engineering drawings and ability to interpret Engineering specifications is necessary to be successful. The primary role of this position is to provide cost feedback to the development team as well as identification of new supply chain solutions. Working in a social environment will allow you to build strong, value added relationships with suppliers, internal customer sand cross functional departments.

Duties will include:

• Manage assigned modules from sourcing to warehouse receipt with lean and agile approach
• Manage supply chain risks throughout the program life cycle.
• Review new product specifications, identify cost and lead time drivers, work with cross functional team to generate alternate solutions and pick the best solution to address engineering program requirements
• Review and negotiate supplier pricing, terms and conditions and expectations to mitigate risks
• Review BoM, identify supply chain GAPs and escalate to right stakeholders
• Partner with NPI to get “Should Cost” information, provide market price for raw material and commercial items
• Manage production quotes, documentation and update cost database
• Team with Singapore factory staff to analyze lead time, identify critical paths and prioritize demand
• Manage cost roadmaps and cost roll ups for assigned project
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Education/Experience requirements:

• BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• Working knowledge of geometric tolerances.
• Experience creating and/or modifying Excel spreadsheets,macros and visual basic programs.
• Experience working with overseas suppliers, Some eveningconference calls.
• Self-starter, able to work in a fast paced, multi-taskenvironment.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
• Some evening conference calls along with limited international travel
