Summary

In this role you will be responsible for managing and supporting our team of Buyers, overseeing procurement processes, and ensuring cost-effective and efficient sourcing activities. This role requires strong leadership, excellent negotiation skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Primary Responsibilities

• Directly manage and support a team of Buyers, ensuring they have the guidance and resources needed to perform their roles effectively.

• Perform approvals for Purchase Orders (POs) exceeding $5,000, ensuring compliance with company policies and budget constraints.

• Conduct thorough reviews and approvals of invoices to ensure accuracy and adherence to contractual terms.

• Oversee and release 90-day holds on procurement activities, ensuring timely processing and resolution.

• Assist in the development and implementation of Buyer Standard Work Processes to enhance efficiency and consistency.

• Increase negotiated cost savings opportunities by leveraging strategic sourcing and negotiation skills.

• Participate in and support various sourcing activities and projects to meet organizational goals.

• Address and resolve vendor escalations promptly to maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure continuity of supply.

• Oversee procurement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conduct Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA’s) to drive continuous improvement.

• Regularly update Supplier Risk Assessments and ensure completion of Annual Supplier Certifications to mitigate risks.

• Engage in other procurement-related activities as needed to support the department and organization

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• A minimum of 7 years' experience in purchasing and 3-5 years' experience managing people.

• Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.

• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.

• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

• Demonstrated strong people leadership skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, actively listening, facilitating, challenging, communicating, and motivating multifunctional teams and employees at all levels of the organization.

• Strong drive for operational excellence and business results, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels
