Position Overview
This role is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the core Paylocity Procurement Team. This proven people leader will work with a team of procurement professionals to oversee a broad range of indirect categories while cultivating business relationships and supporting Procurement goals. The role is also accountable for developing, implementing, and continuously improving procurement processes in collaboration with the Procurement Center of Excellence (COE). The person in this role must lead by example by being thoroughly skilled in core procurement competencies, staff and operations performance and supplying exemplary customer service for internal stakeholders and suppliers.

  • Responsible for leading a team of Procurement professionals to align and execute enterprise sourcing, drive contract negotiations, redlines, and multi-year category strategies that will optimize Paylocity's spend, improve supplier portfolio quality in close collaboration with our internal business stakeholders
  • Proven people leader and coach, who believes in working smart and is motivated to influence the future of the organization.
  • Drives the procurement function forward in its pursuit of excellence to achieve best-in-class procurement service and delivery
  • Applies deep knowledge of spend categories to develop and implement strategic category plans to drive the team to optimize cost via RFx development, bid response evaluation, and supplier performance
  • Shepherds' continuous improvement of policies, processes, and procedures to optimize spend, reduce procurement cycle time, mitigate risk, increase real-time spend visibility, and maintain internal business partner satisfaction
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach in meeting business partners' expectations through frequent communication, scope alignment, business requirements gathering, project execution and timeline management
  • Capability supporting and driving Source-to-Pay (S2P) technology transformation
  • Sets SLAs with the business and drive accountability with the procurement team and business partners to ensure those SLAs are met.
  • Responsible for work pipeline management, performance management, talent management and succession planning, ensuring that the right tools and processes are in place to support the team
  • Applies broad and deep subject matter expertise to solve a variety of complex functional and business issues by collaborating with key stakeholders including but not limited to Legal, IT, Risk, Security and Finance
  • Successfully lead through authority and influence, with experience in bringing category strategies to adoption
  • Experience partnering with IT and finance for the purpose of managing software assets to maintain costs and compliancy and drive internal and supplier-initiated audits

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or related fields
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • 5+ years' experience in strategic sourcing or procurement in indirect categories
  • 3+ years' experience in people management
  • Strong cross functional communication and collaboration skills and experience
  • Expert in advanced functions and features in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in using procurement systems (P2P, S2C, CLM, SRM)
  • Experience in supplier management activities (QBRs, Supplier Scorecards, Supplier Rankings)
  • Experience in developing templates (RFP, Contract, etc.) and associated playbooks (preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of IT categories (SW, XaaS/Cloud, HW, Telco, IT Services)
  • Deep understanding of the following competencies: Procurement Excellence, Business Acumen, People, and Culture, People Management

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $94,957 - $137,749 /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
