ROLE SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Procurement Manager to own strategic sourcing for existing and new product initiatives and launches, including vendor vetting, negotiation, and contracting. In addition, this role will work directly with suppliers to ensure they are exceeding expectations on quality, cost, and service.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cultivate relationships with direct suppliers, holding them accountable for quality, transparency, reliability, and cost
• Develop improved KPIs, data, and reporting around supplier performance
• Lead business reviews with suppliers
• Identify risks in the supply chain and implement risk mitigation strategies
• Develop and own sourcing strategies for existing and new product iniatives, including supplier screening, RFx, bid analysis, cost & contract negotiations, and supplier onboarding/implementationCollaborate and gain alignment with cross-functional teams including product development, brand, planning, and project management throughout product development and sourcing processCommunicate clear recommendations to cross functional team and leadership
• Identify cost savings opportunities and design to value ideas
• Lead cost savings initiatives and projects without compromising on quality
• Actively seek opportunities to streamline procurement and business processes 
• Implement best practices to enhance vendor reliability and overall supply chain

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years experience in procurement and strategic sourcing roles
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, supply chain, industrial engineering, or similar is preferred
• APICS or CPSM certification preferred
• Demonstrated project leadership skills
• Experience in personal care, beauty, or CPG industries is a plus
• Strong presentation skills. Able to create exec-level slides and communicate clearly
• Strong excel skills. Able to consolidate data from multiple formats and sources using vlookup, pivot tables, etc. 
• Strong data analytic skills. Able to summarize large amounts of data in a succinct manner with clear key takeaways 
• A self-starter comfortable in an autonomous work environment
• Able to manage up and down the organization effectively
• Familiar with legal terminology and comfortable leading contract negotiations
• Someone with a continuous improvement mindset who thrives in a fast-changing environment

POSITION TYPE:
This is a full-time exempt position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is a hybrid role at our Headquarters in Marina Del Rey.

SALARY:
$100,000-$125,000 + Bonus
