Procurement Manager – Contractor

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead/build an efficient and streamlined procurement process that fits the internal controls/finance/accounting requirements and follow the compliance of legal/Info Security
• Be the single point of contact to oversee the procurement process and follow up with approvals when high-priority POs need to get approved promptly (or some POs have been pending approval for a long time).
• Review the reasonableness of the new procurement, including the scope of services, license numbers, and costs.
• Represent Aviatrix to negotiate the best pricing for subscription renewals.
• Assist with the completeness of contract signatures after the PO is approved.
• Be on top of upcoming contract renewals while overseeing the procurements.
• Manage the procurement function and develop relationships with company’s suppliers. Team also works closely with company stakeholders to ensure your organization meets the indirect spending categories.
• Proficient with Cost Savings, Supplier Relations, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, and Demand Management
• Meets with internal customers to understand project scope, requirements, and plans. Determines best contracting strategy to meet project goals and deadlines. Reviews and publishes project forecast to incumbent contractors, builds should cost models, calculates total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Performs thorough analysis to support the development, execution and management of contracts that identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, drive cost savings, manage/mitigate risk, improve safety, drive innovation, and ensure the continuous development of projects being managed.
• Develops reporting for all project procurement activities and communicates ongoing status to all project stakeholders.
• Works with Business Units to develop and manage tools to track supplier performance (i.e., scorecards), communicates supplier performance metrics to relevant stakeholders on a regular basis. Interprets contractual obligations, coordinates and manages conflict resolution with suppliers/contractors and stakeholders to drive resolution and formalizes outcome contractually.
• Provides direction and guidance to Business Units on all Supply Management matters to ensure compliance with company procurement policies and best practices. Coordinates cross functional team discussions with representatives from Business Units for stakeholder alignment, Diverse Business Enterprise, Supply Operations, Insurance & Risk Advisory, Safety, Tax, Cybersecurity, Audit, Privacy, and Legal on complex projects and contracting issues.
• Develops a fairly deep understanding of highly technical requirements in many cases for areas of new business requirements.

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience

Location: Santa Clara, CA preferred (Remote okay)

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

The US range for this contractor position is  $80 - $90/ hour. The pay range is determined by the role, work location, job-related skills, level, experience and relevant education.  The range displayed is the minimum and maximum target compensation and is applicable only for new hires for the listed position located in the US.
