Your Role and Responsibilities

A sneak peek into this role:

The Sourcing Buyer primary role is to support IBM internal&external requirements by selecting appropriate suppliers providing optimal cost quality and delivery. Application of commodity policy specified by council strategy

• Application of commodity policy specified by council strategy

• Gathering and comparison of quotes from selected suppliers complete RFPs/RFQs.

• Negotiations with suppliers and supplier selection

• Complete supplier evaluations or fair value determination.

• Ensure that cost savings achieved is accurately recorded.

• Use of systems and tools specific to commodities as well as ensuring that information held on these is consistent with core purchasing systems (SAP Ariba EPM).

• Represent transactional / local sourcing issues on commodity council conf. calls as applicable.

• Communicate the Procurement strategy to the clients and all supporting teams (Procurement advisors client procurement etc.)

• Contract management T&Cs negotiation

• IT Products&services: server/storage point of sale RFID wintel&peripherals audio visual hws managed print svcs printers/copiers life cycle management services

• Connectivity products services: cabling and installation netw. equipment (routers switches) voice&telephony equipment UPS and related maintenance installation

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

What you will bring to the team:

• Fluent English required any other major European language Spanish/French/German/Italian/Nordic
• At least 3 years experience in Purchasing/Procurement/ Supply Chain
• Bachelor or Master’s degree. Prefeably in Supply chain Purchasing or equivalanet in Business/Finance
• Good communication skills customer-facing skills.
• Negotiation skills
• Ability to manage own time and prioritize workload effectively
• Strong autonomy + Result oriented
• Comfortbale with numbers and reporting (loading in systems)
• Responsiveness & adaptability
• Leadership skill is a plus

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

System requirement

Demonstrable MS Office (Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint) skills; SAP Ariba EPM
