Procurement Specialist

Overview

We are looking for a full time Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role will report to our Procurement & Logistics Manager. The position will be dedicated to supporting logistics, purchase orders, and supplier development initiatives. The role will be based at Air Company’s Innovation Center located in Brooklyn, New York.

Ideal candidates will have experience in supply chain management and coming from a start-up environment.

Job Requirements

• Issue purchase orders within given timeframes based on demand, provide all PO’s with necessary documents for review and approval.
  
• Expedite orders, manage status of purchasing needs, and communicate delays or issues to Procurement & Logistics Manager as required.
• Maintain open lines of communication by establishing and building relationships with internal and external customers.
• Be liaison with assigned vendors to ensure accurate communication of product specs and requirements.
• Communicate with suppliers, freight partners, and fulfillment team to ensure on-time delivery.

Preferred Skills

• Diploma from a recognized Institution.
• Minimum 2 years experience in purchasing of physical products, experience in bottling is preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to think creatively and come up with solutions to ever-changing business needs and competing priorities.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to execute daily tasks quickly and error-free.
• Has interest in sustainability, technology, science, cultural progress, and start up environments.
• Proven ability to work with others, strong interpersonal skills, influencing leadership skills.
• Partners through trust, collaboration and positive communication.
• Knowledge of industry standards as applied to industrial environments.
