Procurement Specialist

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join us within the Procurement function in Cameron, LA.  This person is responsible and accountable for the procurement of third-party goods and services for Calcasieu Pass LNG Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide procurement support for the Turnaround Maintenance department.
• Independently conducts RFx and bidding processes, specifically for spare parts, minimizing risk and maximizing value in terms of quality, delivery and cost.
• Execute sourcing plans that secure supply and minimize disruptions, in accordance with Annual Contracting Plan.
• Utilizes sourcing best practices to efficiently and effectively lead initiative and project teams.
• Performs contract administration, which includes creating and modifying purchase order and contract documents; adjusting, cancelling and/or closing transactions in SAP.
• Assist stakeholders in scope of work development.
• Effectively communicates with and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Challenges stakeholders when inefficiencies, process deviations, and strategy deviations are identified.
• Monitors supplier and contract activity and identifies areas for improved cost savings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of five years supply chain experience in the oil and gas industry; Experience in LNG liquefaction facilities highly preferred.
• Skills:
  • Extensive experience using SAP.
  • Self-starter with ability to work strategically under little direction.
  • Ability to build relationships and in engage with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance practices and operations processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teammates and other functions.
