Procurement Specialist

We are currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our growing Production Team! As a Buyer at KCF Technologies, you'll have the opportunity to work on highly collaborative team in one of the most exciting fields in technology- right in the heart of State College, PA! We're looking for a highly-organized and methodical self-starter, who has a keen attention to detail. In terms of work location, the expectation is to be in-person at least 4 days per week at our production facility in Bellefonte, PA.

Job Summary:

Procures material, components, and equipment to support Production, Engineering, and Field Operations departments within KCF Technologies. Ensures materials are ordered and in stock to meet Production demands per Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system. Develops material schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials for Production & Engineering efforts.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains optimal inventory levels per MRP system to meet production demand plan and ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements and needs
• Prepares and issues RFQs and inputs information received into ERP system for the purpose of using price quantity breaks and determining secondary sourcing
• Prepares and issues POs to support production schedules and departmental requirements
• Places orders, selecting most appropriate sources of supply, gives full weight to competitive quotations and delivery schedules
• Ensure department best practices and policies are followed to ensure honest, fair, and ethical relationships with vendors while supporting a culture of long-term savings and efficiencies
• Contacts vendors regarding adjustments, incorrect material, or delivery problems. Coordinates corrective actions
• Assists in evaluating vendor reliability by reporting vendor quality, dependability, and price performance
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor and other KCF leadership staff

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in-person at least 4 days per week at our Bellefonte, PA Production Office
• 3 years’ experience in electronics manufacturing, procurement, or buying preferred
• Minimum of associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems. Internal-auditing experience preferred
• Experience working within an ERP or MRP system (NetSuite ERP/MRP preferred)
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices preferred (e.g., Kanban)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and coordinate projects between multiple departments
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
